Apologies for the late reply, a direct email would be faster as I don't always check here. Have you tried another 5V supply?. If you had 2 clocks running in series they would display '1.048596'. Probably.

The replacement sensors we have found for IC4 (as Sharp have discontinued production of the original and there are very few alternatives with no internal AGC) is a bit more senstitve than the original. Try covering about 3/4 of the window with heatshrink for now. A software mod will probably be need...

The first thing to eleininate is the LED - the blue LED is in series with the MPSA42 base and can sometimes cause problems. Just bridge it for now to see if there's any change. The high voltages and resistances can make taking readings a bit confusing so replacing suspect transistors is the easiest ...

Check the anode voltage is reaching the nixie itself, try removing a working tube and comparing the waveform.

I have a couple of new GPS modules to test over the weekend and will check the GPS code is behaving as it should. All clocks will be the same as the firmware is identical. The timezone offset is GMT by default. Are you seeing any other strange variables set?.
