Re: Adding GPS
I have a couple of new GPS modules to test over the weekend and will check the GPS code is behaving as it should. All clocks will be the same as the firmware is identical. The timezone offset is GMT by default. Are you seeing any other strange variables set?.

Re: PCB assembly discussion
A 10k variable would do but there's usually quite a large voltage change anyway meaning there's a wide acceptable range.

Re: Adding GPS
The field separation is the comma, Dps won't alter the position of the time data. This is the relevant part of the code, it reads the first 6 bytes after the first comma, counts to the date field, then reads another 6 bytes. ;We have a valid string, now extract the data we need from it ;$GPRMC,09275...

Re: PCB assembly discussion
Yes it can, experimenting with the resistor value to increase or reduce the trigger voltage is required due to the handwound coil and other variations.

Re: PCB assembly discussion
This is the first of a new batch and I'll update the instructions shortly. 333 is 33n, brown black red is 1k used in place of the 1k2. The relay triggering was too sensitive so the 3k3, which usually required a 5k6 across it, reduced to 2k2. I can send another elay with the USB socket. What is the v...

Re: Adding GPS
That was a bug in an earlier version of the code, if the packet was larger than expected it would cause a buffer overflow despite a pointer check. It wouldn't be too difficult to connect up an ESP8266 programmed to spit out an emulated packet. Sadly just keeping up with work after our house/workshop...

Re: Adding GPS
It wasn't quite as ancient when I designed it
Any module with a NMEA serial TTL output between 2400 and 9600 bps will work so just about any on the market. Sensitivity and size will vary, I just recommended the SKM53 as I know it fits and works.

Re: Help!
The current specified was more of a maximum value to alert anyone seeing 10s of mA to switch off quick. Some meters won't catch the initial inrush either.
