Mixed up IN -7 tubes

Post by fdastoor »

I have accidently mixed up the IN-7 and the IN-7A tubes. Does this:

1] Does this matter?
2] If it does matter how can I identify the two different nixie tubes?

Are the numbers printed on the sides still visibe or have you removed them?. If they're now unmarked you can still identify them by looking at the symbol electrodes, you should see 2 different arrangements and one will be 3 times as common as the other - that'll be the IN7. The rarer ones will be the IN7A.
