Re: Board PCB

Cut 5 short pieces of wire for links. You could use the enamelled winding wire or strip the insulation from some single cored copper wire, anything up to about 0.75mm. or buy some brass or gold plated copper wire. I tried that on this board but think it looks overdone.

Fit them in the locations marked here:

Note on the new PCB, I just used 1R resistors in place of the wire links.

Solder in place etc....

Re: Board PCB

Repeat the powerup test you made earlier, the readings should be the same If not check for solder bridges.

Take 1 Microcontroller from the component pile:

Fit it in the location marked here:
Make sure the dot marking pin 1 is in the right place (bottom left)

Solder carefully in place.

Re: Board PCB

Connect the board to your power supply again and repeat the current test. It should still be about 6mA.

Check the voltage across the two diodes marked here:
It should be about 2.5V, if not check for shorted tracks and solder bridges around the transistors.

If you've made it this far you should have a completed and working board ready for the driver coils. Repeat with the other 2 boards and you should now know which parts still need to be fitted to the partly built board.
